Mental Health & Wellbeing Arts & Media Exhibition

Multicultural Arts Media Centre (MAMC) in Rochdale would like invite schools, youth people, organisations, artists to an art & media exhibition at MAMC. The Open Day is on Thursday 10th October 2013 to 15th October 2013 at 11am to 4pm.
A multimedia exhibition of art works based on the theme of Mental Health & Wellbeing, alongside a showcase of information stalls and taster sessions of North West based artists.

Music Therapy

Multicultural Arts and Media Centre (MAMC) are providing Music Therapy Classes for young people and adults at MAMC from Wednesdays 9th October 2013 to 27th November 2013 at 1pm to 4pm.
The classes will cover following areas:
1) improve and maintain health through physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic and spiritual aspects of music.
2) Improve social skills and quality of life.
3) Listen to, discuss and enjoy music.
4) Introduction to a variety of different cultural music.

Interfaith Cultural Project Meeting

Members of the community are invited to take part in the Interfaith Cultural Project (ICP) meeting on Tuesday 20th August 2013 at MAMC, Deen House, Station Road, Rochdale. OL11 1DS. At 1pm to 3pm.

The ICP forum will discuss the following items:
• Discussion on Celebrating common ties
• Using Arts and Media to promote local health initiatives
• Building relationship of friendship
• Improving Cultural Understanding
• Identify any social issues – employment, access to health services or education and to encourage interfaith grassroots initiatives in addressing issues
• Undertake any other activities which may foster other links and good community relationships with local residents and the borough.

You are welcome to bring any related information to the meeting.

Aim

4. Understand the importance of planning for activity.

MAMC Eid Celebrations

The community event is organised by Multicultural Arts and Media Centre which celebrates the Eid. The event welcomes people from all communities to come and learn about Eid, arts and crafts, mehndi, face painting, naats, poetry, fashio, beauty stalls and food.

Wednesday 24th Oct 2012 from 5pm to 10pm at MAMC, Deen House, Station Road, Rochdale. OL11 1DS.
