The Littleborough Arts Festival is a community led voluntary organisation established in 2001 to:
- Promote the arts within the community
- To raise the profile of artists within the area
We commission artists and musicians to provide workshops and performances during the Festival. In 2011, Littleborough Arts Festival celebrated its tenth anniversary. To commemorate the event, the Festival Committee commissioned a major new artwork: ‘COLOUREDGE’, by Maxine Kennedy and Paul Haywood.
Maxine and Paul researched the local landscape and designed a bespoke selection of colours and hues especially for Littleborough. This exploration captured the daily diversity of the colour landscape and harnessed the rich natural and social heritage of the town.
The 2012 festival will take place Festival week: 25th August – 2nd September
