Join our Circus Sessions for Adults
Circus isn’t just for the kids! Skylight is starting an ongoing circus session just for adults at our base in central Rochdale. Initially there will be a 6 week course in circus skills, with juggling, diabolo and other hand held kit. The more adventurous can also try out stilt walking, tightwire, globe, rolabola and unicycle.
The class will be led by Jim Riley, founder of Skylight Circus Arts, who has many years’ experience performing and teaching circus. The course is open to absolute beginners as well as anyone who already has skills. Some skills are easy to master, whilst others will require practice. Whatever, there will be fun, excitement and exercise in the safe, warm and friendly setting of our new base.
There will be opportunities to join other Skylight classes in performances. Come and see us at Rochdale Ideas and Literature Festival, 25th October, with extracts from our “Angel” show combining Poetry and Circus and have a go in our open workshop there.
Circus Sessions for Adults – Introductory Course begins on Wednesday 15 October 7pm -9pm
